And a great sign was seen in the sky: a woman dressed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and a laurel of twelve stars on her head. And she was pregnant, and she screamed, laboring and tortured by giving birth. And another sign was seen in the sky, and see, a huge, fiery red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. And his tail dragged down a third of the sky’s stars and he threw them to the earth.

And the dragon stood in front of the woman about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he could devour her son. And she gave birth to a son, a male, who is about to rule all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was taken to God and his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness where she has a place prepared by God, so they should nourish her there for one thousand two hundred sixty days.

And war happened in the sky. Michael and his messengers waged war against the dragon, and the dragon waged war, along with his messengers, but he had no strength, and a place was not found in the sky for them anymore. And the dragon was thrown down—the ancient snake who is called the slanderer and the satan, who deceives the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his messengers were thrown down with him.

And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he chased the woman who gave birth to the male. And two wings of a large eagle were given to the woman so she could fly into the wilderness, to her place where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, away from the snake’s presence. And the snake spit water like a river from his mouth after the woman, so he might make her swept up by a flood. And the earth helped the woman. And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had spit from his mouth. And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children, those who keep God’s commands and hold the witness of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.
